"Children in the 3-to-5-year-old age group really require about 2 hours of active activities per day."

The Department of Health and Human Services recommends that children ages 3 to 5 be physically active throughout the day to enhance their growth and development. Adults that care for children can encourage them to participate in active play that includes a variety of activities. Or simply turn on your child's favorite music and dance together.

You are a role model as a parent, and your child is more likely to be physically active if you make physical activity a family priority.

Improve your child’s health physically and academically by encouraging daily exercise. Set them up well in life so they can lead a healthy and happy life.
